Understanding what to expect and having a general idea of the schedule helps provide your pets with a sense of security. Routine is comforting for them. Here, your dog can count on us to provide food, water, a safe place to sleep, and plenty of exercise. Meeting your dog’s basic needs is is how we take the first step toward building a strong bond with them.

The Crooked Rooster Dog Resort is a two-acre, fenced-in property featuring a dog door and a high fence enclosing chickens in our orchard, which we affectionately refer to as "Chicken TV." We also have a horse next door if your dog likes horses. Many of our friends call our place a dog resort, and one client who brings her dogs for vacations during the warm months even refers to it as summer camp.

Are you planning to attend the Nevada County Fair, the Bluegrass Festival, Wild & Scenic Film Festival, the Draft Horse Classic, or another event? We are located just 10 minutes away from the Nevada County Fairgrounds!

Whether you need dog boarding in our home or daycare, we treat your pet like family. We are your every-day-belly-rubber. Your tug-of-war player. Your middle-of-the-night-pee-breaker.
